I`ve done both sides just for insurance, use an 8 grade bolt w/ a round head w/ the square under it before the threads start.Use a hammer & pound it into the metal on your motor mount & put the round head on the bottom next to the frame & put your nut on the top next to the mtr. That square under the round head will bite into the mount & is less likely to move around.I`ve had good success w/ this method over the years.

I hope you are still following this thread.
Just saw this and have a dumb question. If
I do this should I put a washer on the nut side? And to be clear it goes round bolt head with square underneath into rubber with threads coming out the metal top of the mount then a locking nut? Also will the bolt head contact the frame mount causing issues?

I use a 3/8" bokt that is flat head style. I will drill the hole then use a tapered countersink to get the bolt head flush with the face of the motor mount that sits on the frame stand. I use a nylock nut on the other end.

Yes do it I did alot of damage to my 70 the first time I really hard holeshoted the car. Brand new mount ripped in half bent all kind of things. I did the old chain from head to frame trick even with the new factory pinned mount I bought after how much I had to fix when the mount broke
