Wife and I saw this while we were out running errands. We had to stop and check it out on our way home. "We don't need another project.." she says. After looking at it, she liked it. "It's so cute!" she says. Red bucket seat interior, auto floor shift, from a quick look seems to be in pretty good condition. Now I wish we hadn't stopped. :footinmouth:

I forgot to look at the climate control. It has the radio delete, so might be a low option car.

I'm gonna meet the guy tomorrow to take a closer look. Anything I should look at really close?

Dayum, a '80 Bobcat wagon has gotta be rare, that was last year for those...

Does it have the 4cyl or V6??

Agreed... Likely $2500(maybe less) will take it home...

I would probably still buy it if it has no rust. That would be a fun car.

Thats a clean looking car. Quite a few people around here have Pintos and Bobcats. My friend at work has an orange 80 Bobcat wagon with the port-hole windows. Two more of my friends each have V8 Pintos... Cool little cars.

If its a 2.3 OHC you could probably drop in an 83-84 2.3 Mustang Turbo engine. Keep the weight down!

I have a dead '88 Turbo Coupe with a good 2.3 Turbo engine...

Installing a late engine would require MAJOR fabrication both mechanical & electrical, even the older turbo 2.3 requires lots of wiring changes......
