2.3 turbo swap popular in the pintos and you would already have the right pan for the swap. Its what I did in my Maverick not too bad, wiring harness is all standalone.

Not on a '87 or '88 Turbo Coupe... It's somewhat intertwined with the ABS & ride control(adj shock) systems... The '86 & '85.5 harness are easy to work with but are getting hard to find...

My harness was from an 88 tc wasnt too bad to remove unnecessary wires, I also removed the whole relay box. Also painless makes a new harness for $400.

Very clean car BTW is that a bungee cord holding up the front bumper?

Went and checked out the car this afternoon. The guy is real cool. Super solid car. No rust. Does not run. Needs tires (13's).

    Let the negotiating begin! :scratchchin:

Had a Bobcat wagon in the early 90's. Red interior and exterior with the fake wood grain on the sides. Early 80's I had a '72 Pinto wagon with a 289, TopLoader 4-speed, 8" rear. Lot of fun.

Well, the Bobcat came home with me tonight. I'll post pictures tomorrow. Should be a fun little car to drive around town.

Thanks! Yeah, luckily it is in really good shape, so I should not be hunting down many parts at all. Right now, all I need to replace is the p/s pump and two front brake hoses. It also has a few vacuum leaks from bad hoses, but it runs and drives great!

The front valance is also damaged, but I can repair it.

Played with the Bobcat today. Found the build sheet under the passenger seat, so that was pretty neat. Replaced the two front brake hoses, one was bad. Also flushed and replaced the brake fluid, turned the rotors and repacked the front bearings. Now it stops nice and straight.

Also gave it a quick bath, vacuumed out the interior and wiped everything down with interior cleaner. Came out pretty good! The passenger front black floor mat stained the carpet black. Maybe Santa will bring me new carpet for Christmas. Also ordered a Marti Report for it.

Yep. Also need to replace the PS pump. It ran too low for too long and is not happy. Also have some vacuum leaks to fix. Just little pidly stuff.
