As a FYI I did a quick measurement on the pedal stud, just about exactly 9/16... That universal setup appears smaller...
Yeah, its considerably smaller... about 3/8". I was playing around with it last night. Running a longer bolt through the hole and adding the switch to the side is not a solution. I will have to custom mount a some other type of switch.
Yeah, I could do that. I would need a new booster rod or maybe a new yoke... I might could find that at the hardware store. Where would I get a correct pedal?
Interesting. I've never had any trouble installing these switches. I've done it on my Maverick and on a Ford pickup. Both were a piece of cake.
The best part about buying a used car, especially something this old. Trying to figure out what the previous owner had in mind when they "fixed" it.
