    Fellow local member goldnrod sent these to me, as we have been talking a lot about finishes, and factory markings, etc lately. I cannot see the pictures in the link, but Mike had them saved to his computer and forwarded them to me. Thanks for sharing Mike!

    Apparently, this is a 72 Maverick the day it came home from the dealership. It must be a Dearborn-built car, as the engine compartment is Satin Black... Regardless, it's really really cool!!

    Photos were posted by a well know member on the Mustang Concourse forum and appear to be an original car.
    Paul and I have been talking about the sticker on the passenger shock tower. Has any one seen this before ? could it be a battery OK sticker ?
    The paint inspector stickers on the cowl look like B and T1 but I'm not sure. Also there is more yellow cad finish on hardware than I would have thought.
    Hood hinges, shock cap and washer jets are phosphate finish. Paul also noticed the air cleaner cap was backwards.
