Congratulations on your new Maverick and welcome to the forum. I had a red, 72 grabber when I was in HS. Now I am looking for a maverick to restore and take me back. Best of luck to you.

    :Welcome: from central VA!

My old high school girlfriend's dad had a red '71 Grabber with a 302 when we were dating in 1982. He later gave that car to her the next year. She drove it until 1989 when she traded it in at our local Ford dealer on a brand new 5.0 Mustang LX hatchback.

Doug, welcome back to the world of owning a Maverick, looking forward to seeing and hearing more about the car. A fresh start on reviving an old car can be fun and challenging at the same time, there are members on here that have been restoring their car as long as you have been a member.

To those of you that remember when Doug posted earlier about wanting a car and had some issues please give him the benefit of doubt as I have spoken to him several times and is a good person that just had a bad day

Was a great deal !!! I paid 1500 for her . New exhaust , front end was gone thru and had new parts installed and aligned . No rust except in the top . The car has been sitting in a garage and the owners Dad told her she sell it . It wasn't fair to the car . Let someone else enjoy it ! I couldn't believe it was in great shape . It even has most of the original parts like hoses . 250 6 cylinder with power steering . Has the fancier interior . The only real thing wrong is the drivers seat is broken . They even threw in the material to get the seat fixed . Dash pad has no cracks . All glass is perfect . The car has the spare tire , jack and lug wrench . Yellow 75 helped quite a bit helping me get this car . So he deserves an atta boy !!! My first mission is to get the roof replaced . Lots of bubbling under the top . This car is so close to what I owned in high school . The past owners Dad called me today to check up on my getting the car here . Before I left Salem Oregon the family took lots of pics before the car left . They love it as much as I do . Everything works except the back up lights . All I can say is WOW what a find . Not a dent in the whole car . Will keep everyone posted . Been 38 years since I have owned a maverick now I can rest :) and enjoy what I have .
