Not sure if this is really "The Wild" as the car hasn't been licensed for almost 25 years, but here it goes: While we were out yesterday, in a part of town we ever hardly visit, I spied a Maverick sitting in a guy's backyard! We didn't have time to stop yesterday, so I went back this afternoon to see what I could find. I spoke to the owner. The car is a 74 with only 44,000 on the odometer. He purchased the car from the original owner just days ago. It appears he purchased it in the hopes of flipping it. It has been repainted at least once in it's life, but the car is SUPER solid!! It wreaks of mice though!! Still pretty neat to see this stuff around here! Still riding on four C78-14 bias-ply tires, last licensed in 1990 (ran out in 1991). The guy that has it now took the carburetor off it to have it rebuilt...
Saw this 73 at Lowe's today. Auto on the column and five lug wheels. My wife gave me that look, you know the one.....don't even think about trying to buy it!

Garage find between Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Dropped in at a friend's house to do some quadding. Guess what he had in the garage. A 73 Comet GT with a 302 C4 counsel shift. M.D.
I couldn't get to my camera in my phone fast enough, darn it .... super-clean metallic bright green 2 door big bumper Comet, white vinyl half-roof, hubcaps, white walls, classic license plate .... very eye-catching sweet car that motored past me while I was waiting to make a left. South end of Clearwater, closer to Franktf's turf. It looked very original, but the paint was too good, and it was a better shade of green than what came on these. As it went by at 60 mph, I had that " did I just see what I thought I just saw?" moment.
My friends mav at the track last weekend. Runs mid 10s here in El Paso (over 4000' elevation). High 9s in dallas. Small block all motor
Found this one at pick and pull in Richmond ca. Was looking for disc brakes but that was not in the cards today but it did have some nice bucket seats! I'm staying with my bench
This is cool because I did the unlimited search on the Pick and Pull website and was was wondering if it was accurate. Sure enough, the one you found was listed. There are three others on the website, Redding, Rocklin, CA and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I happen to be driving up to Edmonton on Tuesday. MD
