Hey everyone let's start a 1/4 or 1/8 mile thread that list everyone's times, engine information and car information, it will help many people achieve there goals ( like myself ) and also keep small threads that ask questions about "how fast do you think it will go " out. I have just recently purchased my first maverick! and plan on building a street/track car so no times for me yet.please let's try to keep comments about others cars or setups to a minum, and please don't post info of cars that you do not own, as some people would not like there info online.
I've searched a little and was hoping maybe if we had enough people contributing it could even be stickied or a main thread under the drag race forum.
It is not a thread. It is part of the stats or something. I remember entering my info for it. It has all the info you are seeking.
Think it used to be an option on the older version of the forum...but went away an "upgrade" or 3 ago.
Idk I just thought it would be a good idea as many of the mavericks here seem to be fun/fast cars, personally I haven't taken my own maverick because it's been less then I month since I've owned it, the car is all completely stock and I live in the New England area where my closet track is an hour away and closed. I'm a new member on here and thought it would be cool. I have owned my own race car and many other fast cars and been on many forums that had this type of thread and I'm only receiving post about how we had it or how I should post mines. Sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining, but I did a search and didn't find much I also thought it would be fun, cool and benifical for a few maverick owners
The following is the Drag Times website links for Maverick and Comet: http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford--Maverick-Drag-Racing.html http://www.dragtimes.com/Mercury--Comet-Drag-Racing.html
If we used to have it as a few of us think we should someone for the sake of mavericks post some info and let's get this started lol @Hotrock thanx for that info I actually have seen it before, but many of our members have more info and more times that can be added to our own community (forum )
All I have are 1/8 mile times...but this past weekend I had a best of 6.49 with a 1.37 60' @ 103 mph. Wallace Calculators says 10.2x @ 12x mph converted...we'll see how that goes. I should have some better times to post shortly, as I'll be getting MY converter installed back in the car
