I had to look at that top picture several times before I realized the Comet pan was under the Mav one. It kind of blends into the table.

Well, that stinks ... I wouldn't think the ends would be that much different. The contour changes right at the edge of the corner. If you want the other pan I have with the bad corners, it's yours. You could stitch the corners off this one onto it and make one solid piece. Lotta work, but I have a hard time imagining that there are many good Comet pans out there.

I never thought they were that different either..... I put an add in parts wanted, if nothing comes up I will just work with what I have.....

Got the last 2 tubes made for the pass side header and got the collector welded on today..... Also took a ride to Ocala and pick up a pretty nice stone guard..... Tomorrow I will get the flange inlets welded/ground and get the v-band flange on.....

    Today's progress.....

Can you get away without that dent in the one tube? Everything looks amazing I just want to see this come out perfect.

No problem Ken..... Thank you for a good usable Comet stone guard and good to see you again too.....

That tube is actually dented in 2 places, I put them in it for a little extra plug wire clearance..... Because where the collector has to be that tube had to be a little higher then I really wanted it, no biggie because it's not gonna hurt performance anyways.....

and trust me it's not perfect, it's pretty good but definitely not perfect.....

I think the coolest thing about all the engine shots are that it is all bare metal/aluminum. Don't polish it or paint it .... just leave it as-is and clear it! :thumbs2:
