Hey guys. I have read a fair amount of threads regarding the vacuum canisters but can't seem to find info on the hose destination on the engine bay side. I have one nipple closest to the fender with no hose attached and the engine side nipple as a hose that isn't attached to anything. Any help much appreciated as always.
The can I speak of is not the blue one, rather the black coffee can under it. I was under the impression it was for vacuum control?????
The hose you looking for goes through the firewall in a large rubber plug along with the wire that goes to the compressor.
So I have one tube missing and one loose. The Ok. Found the one from the plug that is alongside the wire. It is loose and looks to be the one not connected. To the front of the can. The line closest to the engine is the one that is loose now. Where does that go?
Pic of the line not attached now. This would be what create the vacuum in the can to assist the heater vent controls etc. Must go to somewhere on the manifold or carby but who knows where???
the is a vacuum canister, one line brings vacuum from the engine source.. poss. it has a ck, vacuum valve in line and the other fitting in the canister is for the hose the takes vacuum to the A/C control inside the car ...thats what a see in your pictures. Good luck..
I'm thinking the line plugs into one of the carb ports. If you can't notice a unconnected port I'd recommend you remove the air cleaner and check for a port near the top of the carb right beneath where the air cleaner would sit. MD
