    :Welcome: from Atlantic Canada!

If your car wasn't a factory V8 car, you will want to get a belly bar that ties the two front frame rails together under the motor, just behind the lower control arms.

V8 cars sometime around or after 73 got shock tower reinforcements, too, but they are a bit more involved to install, if your car currently does not have them.

Several people here have installed sub-frame connectors.
Some go through the floor boards,

Others follow the profile of the floor boards.

A search will provide lots of info:

TOPORANGER manufactures several chassis-stiffening products for our cars. He was working on sub-frame connectors at one point, but I don't know if they ever got produced.

Hope this steers you in the right direction...

Ford was "advertising" 5.0 as far back as the carbed '78 Cobra Stangs, has nothing to do with FI...

1979 was first year for large 5.0 fender emblems that were so popular for the next 20 years..

FI was added to automatic Stang 5.0 in '84, 5-speed used carb till '86...

i would highly recommend purchasing a monte carlo bar from toporanger, the front end feels way better with it

I was told the upper ball joints are different, 2 rivet on the 6cyl, 3 rivet on 8cyl.

My 71 6-cylinder had 3-rivet upper control arms/ball joints. They are both all-original to the car.

The 1969 have four rivets regardless of engine, this incl early '70(1969.5) Maverick, the true 1970> up and all replacement have three... Upper and lower control arms are all same from '66-'71 Fairlane, Torino, Falcon, Cyclone etc and '67-'73 Mustang/Cougar to the '80 Granada(number of rivets excepted)
