I bought this steering wheel from pick&pull today with the intention of painting the inner section black and covering the outer part with a black cover. There are NO cracks in the outer plastic portion. The wheel is the same style as a 75 comet? Before I paint it black, I am wondering if this color wheel is needed by someone, or if being a Granada wheel, it is nil. I cant post a pic of it unfortunately.....I left my phone at my job site.

Why would you paint a gold steering wheel black?? Just get a black steering wheel.
Painting it will not produce a durable finish.

Was going to put black cover over the outer ring. I know it is a bit cheezy, and I hate to do it to a wheel with no cracks, but the whole car came with "painted" black interior so I am not above cheezy on this one. Are un-cracked wheels hard to come by?

Maybe I will just wrap it and only paint the horn cover.

Uncracked wheels are tough to find.

If anyone out there has gold interior, I will post a pic of the wheel. I would trade to someone with gold interior that has a cracked wheel. I am going to cover it anyway. Will post pic on Monday or Tuesday. It is out of a 1980 Granada. I dont know if the color of it is the same as any of the gold Comet interiors.
