hello, I am sure others have asked this question before. I am looking to replace the first 6 inches of my outer wheel houses on my 70 maverick. I just need the lip area that attaches to the quarter panels and then about 6 inches into the actual wheel houses. I would think there is some years of mustang outers that can be used. I would like to hear from people who have actually used mustang outers as far as year and thoughts on fit. I have new quarters on car already and I will be doing this with quarters installed. also looking for what drop offs people have used. im replacing bad body work. thank you
I have used Mustang rear lower outer wheel well repair panels. This is the area directly behind the rear tires. Trunk drop-off are made for a Maverick and available new.
Years ago nothing was available so mine were custom made by a body shop. Charged me $500 to make and install.
thanks craig. do you remember what year mustang outter wheel well houses you used? also who is it who sells the trunk drop offs? thank you very much
I recall it was the early Mustang. Like 1965 through 1968 maybe? The drop off panels were available through all the normal Maverick parts vendors
