Oh,& I forgot to mention,Scotts mtr. is pump gas & a Dart blk, which means it is very strong & will last. Now,bump that comp ratio up to 13 or 14 to 1 & I can see upwards of 8 to 900 HP,LS,BRING IT ON.
I wish the second video was up, I'd be interested in the numbers. The 10k price of entry rules me right out though, no way i want to spend that much!
I am a Ford guy but, if I were going to do an engine swap a LS is something I wud probably choose over the Mod motors. My reasons, availability, compactness, simplicity, parts selection and cost effective, being major factors. I have seen "in person", a Mod and an LS motors in Maverick. Too me, the big motor looks out of place in the tight engine bay. Going to one of the two main Maverick annual events, affords one, of seeing some of the things debated/discussed in this forum. If I were not going SBF, LS wud be resting under my hood. The only thing I wud have to forgo, is making Ford Powered Only events. Not a big deal, I only make one of those annually. JMO...
poor guy.. another thread turned into an old school vs new school powerplant debate. For once I won;t even add my dirty penny. lol
What What motor an trans mounts did you us. I have a 5.3 an trans out of a 05 envoy i want to put in my 73 maverick
I'm BB Ford in a Maverick and like to see the same, but you can take a junk yard LS and Turbo charge that bitch and get in the low 9's without even putting the right gear in it. LS is the way to go right now.
Yes an i have a 05 envory that has everything i need so i want being buy anything i have what i need to do the swap.
