I think you'd have to be a world-renowned psychiatrist to figure out what MY problem(s) is... :D

I'm running a double-hump trans cross member and a belly bar, too. If the motor mount/trans mount swap doesn't work, I may remove those.

Thanks for your help. It's gotta be something super simple...

Laying under the car, getting ready to change out motor mounts for the originals and I just happened to look back towards the tranny and saw THIS...

I swapped out the trans mount, both motor mounts and put the 6-cyl cross member back in it. I took it for a test drive and she is as smooth as silk!! A big Thank You to Tom @Krazy Comet and everyone else who helped to try and figure this out.

So, the trans was vibrating against cross member? Glad you got it sorted out.

Yep! That's what it was. I went back to the original mounts too. All fixed...

Made the 200-mile round trip to The Atlantic Nationals car show in Moncton on the weekend. Even with the gloomy weather, there were over 1800 vehicles registered in the show and even more roaming the streets. The car worked great, drew a good amount of attention and I felt really good about having it there. I did have to bite my tongue a few times when people started telling me all about how it couldn't be a REAL Grabber, because it didn't have a V8... *sigh*

It did rain on the drive home, but I decided to stop and take a few pictures at a spot I have been thinking would make a decent photo location. The car is filthy, but it gave me an idea of how the pictures would turn out. I'll go back when the weather is better and the car is cleaner...

Yeah there are always a load of experts at every large show that know everything about any car... If you don't already have one you need to get the dealer album that shows the std engine was the 170 for all models... Put that in their face...

Pict are great, I like the rocky ledge background...

Thanks Tom! I do have a 1971 Brochure but didn't take it. I forgot to take my laminated copy of my Marti Report with me. When my hood was opened, I had one guy tell me I should give it to the guy on the other side of the show grounds with the white Maverick (74 302 Grabber). I asked why, and he said because it's a Grabber... I informed him that mine WAS a Grabber.

Paul, I guess someone never told him that it is better to let people think your ignorant than to open your mouth and prove it! Love the way your car turned out as well. Interesting post to follow.

I drove the car an hour away to help @goldnrod work on his car. It was another good little test for the car and it performed well. I have put over 1,200 miles on the car since I put it on the road at the fist of July. I had it out to another local show on Sunday and stopped on the way home to take a few pictures... There was a 76 4dr Maverick and a 75 Comet GT at the show too!

I know it's not a 'big' deal, but it did feel pretty good to get recognition for the car this weekend. I placed 3rd in the "Old Muscle" category at a local car show.

There was another Maverick there, too...

I think it's a big deal. Think of how many others got no trophy at all.

Thanks @Crazy Larry. I suppose you're right. The guy who was organizing the show did all the judging himself. I think he liked my car, because he asked me what category I registered in. He told me that he was going to pretend there was a 302 under the hood and give me a 3rd place in the Old Muscle category. It just felt weird...

Your car looks beautiful. I just pick up my 71 Grabber at the beginning of this mount. I hope mine comes out looking as good as yours. I enjoyed looking at your build.

Thank You! I remember seeing the car you have when it was for sale earlier in the year. I LOVE the colour, and hope you are going to keep it the same colour. That car is going to POP when it's all done!! Good Luck, and I look forward to your build!
