20160806_181137.jpg It wasn't today, but I got it pulled out Saturday morning. The 331 in the 69 spit out a rod on a little weekend trip. I put it on a stand and walked away, I guess I'll finish pulling it apart tonight.

    Hi Will :
Sorry to hear about your engine problem. Are you planning to build another ' stroker ' or are you going to run a stock 5.0 ? We just finished the 70 Maverick and its' ' bone stock ' .. Just fuel injection. I hear you about not happening on the HRPT .. that would be a real bummer . Glad you made in back home !

Thanks Chip. Nope its going back with a stock lower end. For what I use the car for I don't need the extra cubes.

Returned the Doug's D668 headers and got the Doug Thorley's and a QTP Electric Exhaust Cutout!

Can't wait to get the Comet back on the road.

    I agree Will :
This 70 Maverick should do a great job on the HRPT next year .. The AC really cranks , and I've just turned 1100
miles on the odometer .. Breaking it in for a daily .. no WOT starts , or Stop-Light encounters .. Easy does it !

I moved the important cars inside tonight, hail in the forecast. I think I have my priorities right, but the wife does not agree.

Perhaps if you found a little space inside to get your wife out of the hail, she may change her mind. :biglaugh:

    Happy wife, happy life!

If you lived where I do I would swear I saw the brown Maverick today. Passed a nice looking two door on the freeway, it lloked like it might have had torqe thrusts though.
