I'm a 46 year old woman who just bought a Maverick to fix up with my Pop

    Hi there! I'm Janet. Very new to the Maverick and forums in general but my Pop thought it would be a good idea to join one and thought this one was great. In mid life, I got a bug up my ass to rebuilt a car with my 72 year old father, a long time gear head and retired truck driver. After much searching, I decided that the Maverick was a car that 'fit me'. I love it's story and it's really the first car that truly caught my eye, I love the way it looks. I recently found and bought a 1972 inline 6 and am leaving to Chicago next week to pick it up and trailer it down to KY where Pop and I will begin work.     Here are the shot my brother took the night he saw it for sale on the side of the road (right after I told him that I had settled on a Maverick and was going to narrow my search to them.)

    You said you are bringing it down to KY. Your location in your avatar says Denver. Is there a Denver, Kentucky?

    I believe she is in Denver but her Dad is in Kentucky and that is where the work will be done.

    That's correct. It's a bit confusing. I'm in Denver, found the car in Cary, IL, will be traveling there to pick it up and trailer it down to Kentucky where my parents retired. (Family is all originally from the Chicago area.)
