Hey guys, Ive been staring at my new maverick in the driveway , and looking at a million pictures online and was curious what the car would look like with the rear window deleted. As if ours were covered and worked into the body similar to a mustang fastback shape. So.... to photoshop. Just figured id throw these up here and get some ideas floating around it your heads. I'm considering what it would take to actually do it,....we'll see. Lets hear your opinions!
Up in the air about this one, maybe with some louvers in the back area as it just seems too plain. Perhaps if the roof line carried clear back to the end of trunk like a Mach1 but then it would still need some louvers or something in the blank area. Good job photoshopping it though.
Don't like it, the C-panel is too big. Maybe a smaller window would look better more like the 69-70 Mach I.
I agree that it looks a bit empty in the space. I think louvering the sheetmetal used to cover the window would look really good. that way you don't have to follow the original back window shape. Id prefer louvers like these.
I don't like it, plus it would be one boring ride for the people in the back seat. They would probably want to talk all the time. On second thought; some millennials might like it. They could just sit back there and text the entire ride undisturbed.
I know the look. 1972 Grande Prix. Could of happened. The one entitled Maverick Window Delete looked pretty good. The others were a bit chubby in my opinion.
Using photo shop to test that idea is brilliant. I dont think I like it either though. It does make me wonder what a two door maverick panel wagon would look like though. Maybe Frank will show us by turning patches into a Nomad! heheheheheheh.
Some time back a few years ago somebody posted a photoshopped picture of a Maverick that was made into a convertible and added the speedster cover to it and it looked really good and so far that is the only Maverick with an altered roof line that seemed to fit. Don Comforts convert looks good also. The Maverick wagon has all ready been made in Brazil
