    Hi Frank:
What kind of engine and gear do you have in that Maverick ? That's quite a feat !

next thing you know.. he'll need to "fix it" just to keep it from doing wheelies every time he takes off. :biglaugh:

    Hey Hotrock :
Just curious .. why do you think I don't want to know ? I've been building these cars for quite a while with
many different engine/transmission combinations leaning towards the ' performance' aspects and have achieved an
assortment of differing power levels. I'm just curious what combination would result in the kind of horsepower
that could 'break the tires loose' in third gear ? That is still quite a feat !

Frank has all the details about his car in the Garage, I dont think Hotrock was being rude I just believe he is a purist and doesnt believe an LS motor belongs in a Ford I use to be that way also but dont care anymore what ever trips your trigger is cool with me

Hmmm.. sounds a bit peculiar. Maybe you need some better tires and few more tweaks to the Caltracs? :scratchchin:

I think you nailed it. And I'm getting to be more the same way over the years as well. 400 horsepower worth of fun is still 400 horsepower worth of fun no matter what brand you stamp on it. Sure doesn't seem to make one bit of difference to the tires either. :rofl2:

Ah hell.. I'll post something relevant for once in this thread.

Disassembled and inspected my new to me "low mileage" Auburn Posi with 3.55 gearset. Near mint condition and will rid me of the 3.00 ratio one wheel wonder that came with the car. At only $175 cost, saved so much on the upgrade already.. might just spring a little more cash towards some fresh 3.80's.

Not being rude as yellow75 wrote. Sometimes it is difficult to be humorous in print.

I knew Frank had an LS in his car. I don't have a problem with that. Frank gets ribbed from time-to-time on this site for installing that Chevy engine. He did a fantastic job and you can see the fine detail in his Garage photos!!!!!!

I'm pleased he is a very...very...very...very...very active member of this site!!!! More written humor.

LOL.. funny stuff.. almost spit my coffee! Hell, I'm just thankful he takes as good as he gives. Otherwise he'd be P'd off all the time!

just to stay relevant and hopefully this counts.... warming the ice cold shop up to enlarge the main galley to 1/2" and port all the oil passages I can possibly reach inside my block. Also porting the oil pump as well. And yeah I already know.. I have a pretty heavy "porting problem".
