A word of caution on your air cleaner one backfire through the carb and it will be in flames, had it happen to me and it was not a pleasant experience. The foam in those is highly flammable.

Stock size wheels, the black rubber things keep from scratching up the hood and fenders when opening.

Yes, I hate the air cleaner. Ordered a regular chrome round one.

I think I remember seeing this car for sale online a few weeks ago. The black strips of whatever on the hod edges shouldn't be necessary. IIRC, there were a couple of the OEM rubber hood bumpers missing from the inner fender lip (rectangular slots in fender lip). http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...~S4UL0LF5V520717918603a~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50001018o

The wheels look like Factory Aluminum Slots with Granada center caps. Same wheels I have on my car. I like them a lot!

Have fun making the car 'yours' and I look forward to seeing the progress pictures from under the hood!

It should be whatever color you want it to be.....I was just stirring the pot a little because it looked so much like chevy orange. To be honest, I dont know what color it was originally. I am fairly new to the Ford world and probably shouldnt have been teasing.

    :Welcome: from Wisconsin!

Very nice looking car. Just a few minor things to take care of and you should have a real show stopper there ........ :)

For those interested, the right blue for the late 60's, early 70's era Ford engine is the darker blue - called Ford Corporate Blue - I like the way Dupli-Color DE1606 Engine Enamel looks and you can get it at just about any parts store. There is also an OLD Ford Corporate Blue that is darker yet - DE1621. That color was used in the mid 60's. Make sure to buy the engine paint for the heat protection.

If not staying correct to the year for color, the lighter Ford blue DE1601 is always a nice choice. It looks great with contrasting chrome and black goodies. That is what I used on my 72's engine pictured here.
