I know What I'm doing may not be the correct way of doing it but it should work. I have a 76 maverick parts car that the floor boards, trunk and part of the trunk lid are rusted out. I used the driver side rear lower quarter panel, part of the right side trunk floor & cut out the good sheet metal from the trunk lid for patching. Rust bullet will be applied after repair is complete.

May not be how some would do it, but if you get the desired result and your making progress, there is nothin wrong with that. I've got to do something similar to my Comet. Looking good! - Matt

Lot of work and I admire your ability and will power to take the task on as I would have scrapped a car in that condition. Another car saved

Didn't get much done today but ever little bit puts it closer to being done. I got more of the floor spot welded and got the corners and side welded in.

Got "all" the trunk spot welded, its not perfect but it alot better than before. I just put a coat of rust bullet on it my next step is Seam sealer then I'm going to rhino line the trunk. Here the before and after picturesm

Looks like Frankensteins doctor worked on it, but it is only the trunk and once you get it seam sealed and a coat of rhino liner on it nobody will know the difference, lots better than it was and I imagine it was not easy to do without making bigger holes while welding

"Frankenstein doctor" I do have to agree lol. Welding with out burning through old sheet metal isn't easy & to be truthful about it's dang near impossible. I'v got some body work to do on the maverick the next few days but when I get back on the trunk I'll post the progress.

Im not much on body work but my buddy is my neighbor & I do all the welding for him so he's helping with the body work.

Got started back on the quarter panel, it still got a ways to go but has came along was from what it was.

Ok I decided to fiberglass the welds before putting down the seam sealer.
