72 maverick fuel sending unit replacement

    I got one and it fit perfect....didn't have to cut any off

    The 65-68 mustang fuel sending unit will not work. It has a single wire connection and the maverick has two connectors.

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    Trivial stuff, second wire on Maverick/Comet sender is ground... The Stang unit has to be grounded internally or it'd never work in it's intended application...

    Thank you for posting this. I didn't want to shell out $85 for a mav one when for $25 a repro would work with 2 min on a dremmel.
