DYNACORN GRABBER HOODS.. AND .. SCOOPS FIT !!

Earlier I posted a thread about the poor fit of the Stock FORD Grabber Hood Scoops onto the new Dynacorn Hood . Just re-visited this hood and after Michael ' tweaked ' the LEDGES which the Scoops Rest Upon .. The Scoops DO fit. The Passenger Side of the Hood could not be aligned and after examining the ledges and the Scoop itself it was determined that the SCOOP was the part that was Out . Evidently this scoop had sustained some damage and was ' bowed ' so that the Scoop ' curvature ' didn't line up with the curvature of the Hood.

So how well do the Dynacorn scoops fit the original Grabber hood?

    Hi Larry:
I don't have an original FORD Grabber hood to properly answer that question.. I can say that the Dynacorn Scoops fit the Dynacorn HOOD OK but the edges where the scoop actually ' rests ' on MY Hood & Scoop setup are not uniformly even and require a little finessing to set them properly . The Hood and Scoops are being painted this week so we will have the setup mounted on the 70 Maverick for the upcoming Hot Rod POWER TOUR first week of June.We bought the Dynacorn Hood Hinges also and they are very firm with no lateral movement. Looking forward to seeing them ON the car .

So it was the edges on the hood? Or the edges on the scoops that had to be "finessed"?
