IMG_3152.JPG Hello everyone, this is my new Maverick and first car. It needs some work but it's in fairly good shape. It has the straight six and runs fairly well for having old gas in it that I'll have to drain. The car is in pretty good shape. Has some rust here and there and is missing an emblem or two. It has a small chip in the front wind shield. The interior is red and in relatively good shape, although has a couple small issues like a small rip in the carpet and headliner, some sun bleaching on the carpet, light sun bleaching of plastics in front and a dash crack. IMG_3177.JPG I have a lot of plans for this car, I'm going to fix it up and give it a candy apple black paint job, get nice tires and hopefully do a small bumper conversion. I'd like to either fix or replace my windshield, fix all the rust, fix the headliner and plastics, and find the missing emblems. After I've handled all of that I'd like to start preparing my car for more horse power, (getting ford 9 inch, better shocks, better breaks, etc.), and start souping up my straight six and eventually put in a 302

This is my first car and I'm quite excited to start this project. I've lived around classic cars including Mavericks most of my life. My folks are quite familiar with project cars so they'll be helping me with what I don't know about the restoration. I'll probably post more photos tomorrow when it's light out; I noticed I don't really have any of the interior.

    :Welcome:...:Handshake:
for what you have planned a 2 door car is what you need.
if a 4 door is what you like then enjoy your build...:thumbs2:

On second thought, how am I going to fit all the girls in with just two doors?

Also here's a picture of a really nice four door owned by gdemopesq IMG_3185.JPG

I don't think I've ever seen one of the wagons in person. Weren't they Brazil only?

If you're talking about Maverick, there was never a US version... For the Chevys were lots of those...
