Found two items that I thought were gone forever!! Went up north to collect some more of my dad's tools and stuff, his wife informed me that she had found some more documentation from the Comet. It was the build sheet! Interesting note on there "note: change trim to 8A, this job to be set in at east end of 4 trim" then near the top the trim code is crossed out and "8A" is hand written over. The original number appears to be 9E. I'm assuming that was probably red interior? So that makes sense, it was originally intended to be red interior to go with the red top, but for some reason it was changed to black. Why would they do that?
As I was leaving, I asked if she ever found the stripe kit and she said no, so we went and took one last look in his room and there it was hiding in a glass display case with some cars!

Ordered four Speedhut gauges to match my speedo and tach. Volts oil pressure water temp and fuel level. All 2 1/16 in size black face with white numbers, glow blue at night. Speedhut is having a sale until July 5th. 15% off. This will complete my gauge set for the Grabber, I will use 4" two gauge set in the Sprint one side will have four gauges, the other side will be speedo and tach... speedhut.com 100% American made it Utah...

I broke it last Friday. I put in the key to start the car, it had no resistance to moving the key, and the car would not start. I removed the key, and the switch fell apart. I got another switch, just have to get it into the car. Gotta get ready for the Gathering!!!

I finished my exhaust system and installed it a few days ago, but I got to run it today, long enough to test the fan control and temp sensor, adjust the carb, timing, and points. (not in that order) The sound of open headers and complete 3" single system can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/stuart.wall.71
