Absolutely stunning car, great attention to details so much done that most people would never notice and glad you shared it with those of us that do not do Facebook. Thank you. I still think it would be a great magazine car

Little by little I have been venturing out more with the car. Yesterday I went for a ten mile cruise, and so far all is good! My wife caught me pulling up on my return home.

So after feeling more comfortable with it, today I took it to a local cruise in. It was incredible being able to finally see how people reacted to it. I got some great feedback even though it isn't 100% complete. The car now has about 25 miles on it. Next weekend it heads off for upholstery finally.

That's awesome Glenn! To see your car on the road gives me hope that my car may eventually be roadworthy.

The car is at the upholstery shop getting done. Rear package shelf is now covered and installed. Also, wrapped the extensions that go from package shelf to the headliner. These are normally just painted steel pieces.

While at it I wanted more than just the normal back seat panels that are textured plastic, so he wrapped them in the same black material and added the houndstooth as well. I have yet to see anyone ever do this on a Maverick.

And here is the beginning of the back seat. I bought a second set of front bucket seat foams. We are using them to make a bench seat that will have the same contouring as the front seats.

    More on this to come....

I love the wrapped rear seat panels! They look very nice, I have seen it done a few times but it is usually done very poorly.

I hadn't seen it done anywhere before. Not surprised someone else had tried it. My upholstery guy is awesome, if anyone could do it, he can.

What kind of lights did you use for the park lamp/ turn signals?

    Thanks very much!!!!

Not exactly sure if you are asking about the sidelights or whats behind the grill, so I will answer both.

Side lights are flush mount from Hagan Hot Rods.

Behind the grill, I made mounts for them, the lights themselves are LED and are actually meant to be in the front spreader bar for a 1932 Ford hot rod. I wanted to find something that was small, bright and different. I stumbled on these at a car show when talking to a friend that sells hot rod lighting. He pointed me in the direction and I couldn't be happier with them.

    Hope that answered your question?

Yeah, I was talking about the lights in the grill. I'd love to see a pic of them if possible.

Congrats on the write up about the car, I knew (hoped) it would get some media attention. So much more could have been said but at least it was featured, I am sure that it will be a head turner at car shows and glad to hear that the intentions are for it to be a driver and not a trailer queen now just watch out for the idiots on the road.

Great job and glad you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and can enjoy the UNRULY ride

Thanks!! I do NOT own trailer queens. I will be doing a winter indoor show that I will trailer to, and possibly if I go long distance, i'm talking 6 hours or so I would possibly trailer it. But beyond that, drive it like you stole it I always say! The only reason for the trailer long distance is those idiots on the highways, and the fear of theft at hotels at night. I have heard way too many stories of cars getting stolen right out of hotel parking lots at large events.

Funny thing about the article. The guy emailed me that he had to go rounds with the editor and fight for it to be as long as it was. I guess they don't normally do that much word count. But he seemed to really like my car and got it done. I was very pleased for sure.
