This photo I found on the internet and it is the look i am going for. Rear wheels I have are torque thrust D 15 x 8 4.5 inch backspacing. I was wondering if anyone has run the 15 x 4.5 torque thrust D with 2.125 inch backspacing on the front and what size tire to fit? Currently have 7 inch rim with 205/50/15 on front and don't like the look.

You're gonna neef at least a 3.5 inch backspace.

    3.5 backspace on a 4.5 rim, I don't think so.

I overlooked the 4.5 inch rim.

I have Halibrand Replica rims 15 x 4.5 with 2" backspacing with a 165-80 R 15 Nexen SB 802 on the front and on the rear is a 15 x 8 with 4" backspacing with 255-60 R 15 Cooper Cobra. I know you asked about Torque Thrust D rims but this may give you a better idea. 20626738_245966895922663_2284563761125330925_o.jpg

Thanks Duramax59! That's exactly what I am looking for. I just wanted to make sure it would look good on our cars and it does! Nice car you have there.

I'm looking to run 17x8 on the back with a 4 or a 4.75 backspace. What's the biggest tire you guys think will fit without fender roll or a spacer?

something I found out on my new rims. the depth of the centers from front to back were the same (front 7" back 8"). they just made the center hub 1" thicker on the 8" to keep the 3.5" backspacing. so when I went to mount the tires and rims on the car my rear studs were 1" too short...:slap:
I like the look but it"s not the old school deep dish look on the rear.
that's how I got my fat finger when knocking out the old studs...:smash:..:yikes:
