    Thanks for the interest. The car is not finished ... but it has been on the road for the last 4 years. It's still patchy primer grey LOL. I'll look through my picks and try to make some updates.

    The list of additional upgrades and progress includes:
    - Taurus electric fan and aluminum radiator, 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent dual exhaust, MSD, one wire 100??? Amp alternator, mini PGM starter, remote oil filter, radiator burp can, shock tower brace upgrade & monte carlo bar.
    - Summit bucket seats, new headliner, tach, grant steering wheel, 3-point (shoulder harness) seat belt upgrade, ratchet shifter, maverick floor mats :rolleyes:.
    - Comet hood scoop, sport mirrors, 17" wheels all around for the street & 15" 255X60 ET streets for the track, rear spoiler, front coil spring chop & lowering blocks on the rear, undercarriage stripped and painted.

    The AOD didn't make it (RIP), and the car currently has a reverse manual VB C4 Bruce had lying around. I'm considering a 4R70W with a Baumann controller and about 2500-3000 stall, and maybe a gear change to 3.80.

    I've had the car to the track 7 or 8 times and here's the results:
    600 Edelbrock vac secondary, AOD w/stock stall = 12.80's
    750 Holley DP, C4 w/3500 stall = 12.39

    Thanks for the update! I'm particularly interested in engine bay pics and how the crites headers fit inside the bay and under the car. 12.30's is nice for a street car! What rear gear were you running when you hit those times?

    4.11 gear

    On the crites headers ... we needed to grind down some bolts and clearance one of those "humps" from the shock tower. Not ideal but it could be worse.

    I forgot to add, on the oil filter setup (with the Crite's), I started out with an adaptor and a very short filter, but I switched to a remote setup as I felt better about having a full size filter.

    That's a nice engine bay right there! So does the oil filter not fit in the stock location due to the crites headers? Are you running an 8 or 9 inch rear end?

    Pictures of the wheel and tire install and lowering the car.

    Wheels before and after. These are US mag 17X8 and 17X7. Tires are Kumho 255/50R17 and 225/45R17. For the track I have matching US mag 15X8's with 255/60R15 ET streets. Both sets of rear tires are the same width and height (approximately)

    The rear was lowered with either 1/2" or 3/4" spacers (can't remember). We chopped about a half a coil on the front. dropped it checked it and then chopped another ~ 1/4 to 1/3 coil and that was it. I like the stance with the tires that gives it a little rake while looking like it is ready to take on some curves (not really, but it looks it).

    Correct ... no clearance with the Crites.

    8 inch with a Richmond 4.11 and the trac-lok locker.

    No pics. I'll have to take some ... but it's straight forward. You need two adaptors, one that goes on the block and one wherever you want the oil filter mounted, along with the braided hoses between the two.

    I just changed my stance this afternoon, up 1" in the front .
    my remote oil filter is mounted in my left front wheelwell.

    Here's some pics of the 2 1/2 " mandrel bent exhaust Bruce fabbed from a '65 mustang kit (I think 65) he had in his shop attic. I also added straight chrome tips which extends the deal passed the valance. The first pic shows the Crites clearance to the AOD.
