so im considering going with a 15x10" wheel on the rear. i have on order an 8" but it hasnt got here yet. im liking the depth of the 10s ive seen on a few mavericks. the bs on the 8s are 4.5".

would the bs on the 10s also need to be 4.5" to make work? im assuming so. also will a 10" work without cutting anything? im using 275/60/15 for tire size.

    ty

4.50 BS is just about max for our cars. I have 4.50" BS on my wheels and it was so close to the spring that I put a .25" spacer. I'm only using a 255 tire. I also had to cut the rear snubber and bracket off to clear my wheel and tire. my 10" Greg weld wheel was to wide for my 71 so I had to buy 8"wheels,the 10" wheels are still in the boxes in the corner of the garage.

I was at the NPD show yesterday and talked to Scott Drake, they said the problem with the steel magnums is everybody used the same outer hoop for their wheels. They said the company is having big problems with tooling. Scott Drake has found a new supplier for the outer hoops and will have products available sometime in February. They also said to tell you to take another look at their aluminum wheels because their aluminum magnums are not flat like American racing and other companies. Scott Drake said the aluminum version is much better than any steel magnum 500...

So in February they will start producing steel chrome magnums? If this is true ill just order from them at that time. The aluminums would be my last ditch effort as I really want chrome. Thanks for the heads up!
