It is a 1974 Grabber model. It was bought brand new by my my grandfather in Fall of 1973. When he passed on my dad got it summer 1996 and it was are thing to do together, car shows and customizing it to how it is today. It has the largest cam in it that would work with stk valves, edelbrock 4 barrel carb, custom long headers, Msd ignition & distributor, 3 inch straight exhaust with 50 series flow masters, 390 rear end with auburn post locker.
MSD Boxes don't seem to like iridium/platinum tipped spark nuts...Run a std autolite spark nut in it. It will be just fine. Sounds like a pretty cool ride, you should post up some pics...

Welcome to the site from northeast Ohio!!! I run Autolite plugs after having run both Motorcraft and Champion. They seem to last longer with my high RPM application. It could be just my imagination, but I don't believe so. For normal operation any of the three will do.
Other than longevity, AFAIK there is really no reason use anything more than std copper plugs, especially with a hot ignition system... The Iridium plugs are designed to run 100K plus in a fuel inj engine with it's ign system... Of course those ign systems are light years ahead of points or even a early Duraspark system... Still it's not as hot as a MSD, Mallory etc...
