Front bumper mod on 73 comet model

    Newb here, I like how the Comet GT's bumper looks rather than that protruding one on the 73, can that be cut off? Sorry if that sounds stupid, lol

    Cut what off? Be more specific. People swap the bigger bumprs for the earlier small bumpers all the time.

    Some people do what is called a bumper tuck, you use the same bumper but shorten the distance by altering the bumper brackets and the stone guard which between the bumper and grill of the car. If you want to change to a small bumper then be prepared for lengthy search for the parts needed to do it as Comet small bumper stuff is hard to come by but you never know you may just get lucky and happen upon the stuff

    Thank you, yes if I can't find a small bumper I'll just use what I have, modded of course

    Yes you can pull off the bumper "guards" and the bumper will look a little "sportier" I suppose.

    Thank you for the tip, sorry bout that. Yes, I eventually would like that area of the front bumper to resemble the gt, thank you.

    Yeah, if you're talking about bumper guards, definitely get rid of them. They look ridiculous. They are bolted on, so no cutting required.
