Just got my engine from the machine shop and I am putting it in a 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone. 020.jpg 011.jpg 002.jpg

Outstanding! Your '66 will be a crowd pleaser.

A Boss 9 is one of best looking engines ever.

Thanks for your comments. The other thing is the fact that this Jon Kaase motor is a 460 Boss 9 stroked to 572ci putting out 0ver 900hp. It is not going to be a drag car but a cruiser/sleeper.

    Very nice!
It’ll only be a “sleeper” until you start it and THUNDER spews from the tailpipes.

You sure got that right. You know what's interesting about all of this? I have another car which is a 1964 Ford falcon sprint and it too is a sleeper. It had a 408 stroker motor in her with cutouts. At one of the car shows I won the loudest engine context and got a Trophy. It now has a Ford Fe 427 stroked to 482 in her. I also put cutouts in this one. This car will be completely done in about 3 or 4 weeks. Don't know why posted twice. 100_4095_resized.jpg 008.jpg 100_4095_resized.jpg 008.jpg 100_4095_resized.jpg 008.jpg 100_4095_resized.jpg 008.jpg "https://i.imgur.com/S3tdMk2.jpg" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

Looking forward to your pics on HOW to squeeze this monster into the underhood areas. Does a 66 cyclone have the same type ' shock towers ' ?? At ANY rate .. you are going to tackle some ' serious ' fitting issues I believe. I wish you success with it .. I squeezed a 408 into my 74 Comet and took the shock towers OUT to make more room .. Headers were ALSO a problem. We solved that by finding an early mustang setup and altered five of the eight pipes to make
everything work . Then got the whole setup ceramic coated . Anything you have to do will be WORTH the effort when it's completed. : ) .
