I am looking to buy some new leaf springs for my 72 four door. Has anyone bought any from CJ pony Parts by chance? I bought front end components from them and they were great. There are a lot of options for the leaf springs though. Was wanting to go with a one inch lowering in the rear. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just cruising my car and not hauling a lot of cargo. Also only a 250ci for the moment.
If you go onto FB and look up maverick comet restoration. Joe on there is in contact with a company that will make factory replacement springs for you or you can have them special ordered to your specification.

How many leaves came stock on a ‘73 250ci? I was under my car over the weekend and only counted 2 1/2.
My point exactly Frank, there were numerous rate loads, so one can't go by the number of leafs alone to determine ride height, stiffness etc.
I would bet this all can be broken down further between 2 door and 4 door cars. That could explain why a HD is rated lower than a standard rate spring.
I ordered leaf springs and the hardware from Espos Springs N Things today. Thanks Craig for the recommendation to check them out. I had a chat conversation with Laura and they knew what I needed and and their product. Can’t wait to get them. Also able to give me a 2” drop in the springs themselves for an extra $50 so no lowering blocks needed or reverse eye mounts.
I actually have a tire to fender gap of 1 3/4 of an inch in the rear I want to get rid of. Was thinking with the new bushings and all, that may add a very little bit of height. I recently redid my front suspension and got rid of the tire to fender gap so I want it to sit about level. I’ll try to add a few pics of the front end.
where did you get the 2" number from? was it 2" from where it sits now? chances are they will do it from a stock height setting.
Or I could take the leafs off and measure the bend my leafs have now. Then they can compare those to a stock height one and help me dial it in to exactly where I want it
