    Personally, I find it easier to pull the engine and transmission together.

    I have pulled engines out of these cars 20 or 30 times now and I have always done it together. Much easier than trying to separate them. Have someone else help you and keep an eye on things and you’ll be fine.

    Do you use one of those tilting devices I've seen used on TV? Seems as though it would be almost a given to get the pair out w/o using something like that to clear rad support! Just asking, last time I pulled an engine; decades ago -- Don't know if they were available then.

    I have used them with the tilt device's (so much easier with it) and with out. When you do it with out you have to keep an eye on your angle and have someone push down on it when needed. Also have to move backwards and forwards depending on your height to make sure you don't catch. Its really not all that bad, just need an extra set of hands and eyes.
