I agree, that is a nice car. I think that you can get a car that’s not running back on the road for a few dollars less than that.
I bought mine for 500. had a 302, no tranny, rusty gas tank and trunk, no front seat, small bumpers laying in the interior......but the cowl was good..... that was 3 years ago. Pictures would help whenever you can post em.
with 0 skills, 0 interest and $0 invested...if she gets $10 she will be one of few that have sold one for profit...
Update: Sorry I have been so slow on giving y'all this update. I am including some pictures. It is dirty and has some leaves on it. I still have to get pictures of the interior; coming soon. I was offered $3,000 by someone that came to see it and check it out. The tires hold air, but will of course need replacing. The car starts right up, but the battery will need to be replaced. The brakes work, but will need work or replacing. It drives and shifts okay, but the tranny will most likely need work or replacing. Any futher advice (from those of you who are actually trying to be helpful, and not being unpleasant for some reason unknown to me) Now, of course, I am wondering if I should "take the money and run", or "sit on it" for a while longer. I will post interior pictures soon. BTW... thanks to (most of you) for your help and support. Grrrr. Can't figure out how to attach the pictures. Give me a few while I work on it

It is up to you on what you do, if you believe you are not going to work on it then sell it. I would get the guy to 3500 and then sell it if you can. That is a fair price for a car that has not been on the road in years. If you think you are going to fix it one day or just sentimentally attached to it then keep it. Btw it looks like someone changed the front bumper at one time, that is a 72 bumper. It also has a much later hood on it. It looks like a decent car though.
Maybe more than 1-2K, depending on what needs repair/replacement and who preforms the work! Hopefully, you can get it safely operational in the stated cost figures. The "KEY WORD, SAFELY". Not being negative -- realistic.
3K is good offer. If it must go, that seems to be a good answer. Most of us hope our cars will go up in value, but I dont think a single one of us would consider their car to be an investment......probably a money pit..uhh...heheh..a hobby! Yeah, I say hobby.....but my wife would probably say the other.
Lol money pit is the perfect definition for these cars! Just spent $200 on a steering wheel I didn't need but just couldn't pass up for the car!
