I have a I6 200, 1 barrel carb & I know it's burning to rich. The component that closes the flap is missing. Where can I buy a new 1 barrel carb with the settings in set? emcclinton@gmail.com
No such thing as a preset carb. Any carb you buy needs to be tuned to the engine when you first bolt it on. Sounds like your choke mechanism is missing. It was either a manual choke with a cable that ran back into the drivers area dash, or an automatic choke operated either by heat from the exhaust or electric fed by a hot wire
I have my original 2 barrel that came from my V8 car...I rebuilt it and it ran great. Personally, I think a stock 302 does awesome with a Holley 2 barrel. But if you are feeling froggy and have some loose change...actually, unless you're doing a cam, stick with a 2 barrel.
