Does anybody have any suggestions for repairing a tear in the rubber bumper filler? This is off a 73 Maverick. I'm not expecting a perfect finish, I just want to provide some strength/stability to prevent it from tearing more. My first thought was just superglue, but not sure that's the best for a rubber repair. I'm now wondering if using contact cement with a small sheet of rubber on the underside would be better. Any other suggestions? We will be painting this black after the repair, and the bumper will be tucked in a couple of inches so I don't think it will be very noticeable in the end. Thanks.
Thanks! I will definitely consider it after I've failed miserably at trying to repair the one I've got. What is your asking price?
