My girlfriend has a 1977 Maverick thats been sitting about 15 years. The body is pretty rust free but the interior is nasty. I bought her some news wheels for her birthday and picked up, what i believe to be, some LDO seats off Facebook today. I hope for a sympathetic restoration and intend to swap in a 5.0 that was given to me. I have a lot of questions about accessory brackets to go from the 250 to 302... but will start a new thread.
Looks better already with the new wheels ! Read on all your questions can be answered on this site or simply ask
I purchased these seats today not knowing , for certain, if they fit a Maverick. Can anyone confirm this?
They sure look like LDO seats minus the headrests. Hopefully you have the correct tracks, if not they can be a bear to find. Pretty sure you could find bigfoot easier!
I hope they're correct as well. I ordered matching headrests off eBay. The seats were only $50, so I shouldn’t be in too big of a hole.
Body looks rust free, great starting platform. What is the convertible parked in front of the Maverick?
The tracks on those seats look correct to me, but its been awhile since I got a set out of a 4 dr. U-pull-it seats would cost more than 50.00.....that is a very nice score. If the motor in there is good, getting it running would help you sort out the rest of the car before doing a motor swap. Welcome to the forum BTW.
The car is at her brother’s house right now. He replaced the oil pump years ago, for some reason, and said it had low oil pressure. Ill probably get it running enough to move it around while i clean things and build a motor. The convertible is his wife’s Cougar. The cougar is NOT rust free
If those seats are out of a 4-door, they will not tilt forward to allow passengers to get in the rear seat.
