Two in two days .... pretty good. I seem to have a "rule of threes" here. It is a pretty random thing, too. Go for a couple years not seeing, say a Corvair, and all of the sudden see three in a week. I have had this kind of thing happen a half dozen times. Another time it was mid-50s Ford trucks. Once it was 60s Fairlanes. Maybe you'll see one more in the next few days.
Including the two I posted I know of seven in town not counting mine. We're big enough there has to be more hiding out, just haven't located them yet I guess.
That has some attitude. Wonder what mirrors those are? Might just be the angle of the picture, but I get the vibe they are not our standard sports mirrors.
I noticed that about the mirrors too but didn't talk to the owner. I think I know the car but the look has been changed, if I'm right it used to have salt flats wheels and no scoop.
I'd say a little of both ... tall guy and that Mav is in the weeds. The fender opening top is even with the rim on the front tire. That guy looks big next to the Caddy too.
I had a "whoa,... stop the car!" moment yesterday. Just 5 miles from home while running errands. Saw this pretty clean Maverick Grabber yesterday in Clearwater, FL. Looks like a really strong survivor that has had a repaint. The stripe was not original, and the Grabber logo is a decal of sorts. Guessing the vinyl top is original and resprayed with color. Dark blue bench seat interior, and that all looked original. I believe I was looking at an original dash pad, not a cover. Everything inside the car looked great and original. The bumpers and boomerangs had some pitting, and the wheels are older. Those were the only bits about the car showing age. Good looking car. Probably has been pampered and sheltered for the last 20 years.
saw one in Dublin,Ga. Saturday. it shot around me and cut in front just in time for a car to turn left in front of it. small bumper car so glad the drum brakes worked for him.
Teenage adventures in Bodywork 101 .... We all started there ... admit it! LOL. I sold my first car right before sunset. I'll bet the new owners were upset the next day around noon.
