I bought the whole assembly as my base was painted by the previous wonder. You can buy a new lens on ebay or the whole assembly Such as this one.

The Comet has the dome and map lights. I have seen some people switch over to a clear type lens but I used the same milky white one as original.

Just out for a little spin. Got a pair of KYB GR2's for the rear. I'll put them in when it cools down a little bit. It was 114degrees in the garage this afternoon.

Hosed the mouse crap off the parts that were laying inside the car, got them setting outside drying before putting them in the attic for storage.

Oh my god! You would not believe the amount of mouse crap that was on my parts when I took them out of the shed last spring! Must be Chevy mice!

Made a door hinge spring cuz mine was snapped in half. I heated and bent steel rod from box store. Not easy to do with my limited anvil choices. Mocked it up and it seemed to work. Will see how it works when my new bushings and pins arrive.

Spent part of the weekend scraping gasket material and leftover RTV off the heads and intake manifold.

Got mine running for awhile with the new injection. Now to tear it back apart to do the body work and new paint.

Comets and Mavericks are El-cheapo and poor mans cars to start with but it is what you do with them that really counts. Build on !

That’s what I thought a couple years ago when I bought my Comet, but that doesn’t seem to be true anymore.
