I agree, thinking about making door panels for my Comet just haven’t decided how I’m going to do it.

Spent more money on it. The bolts that came with my Richmond bearing kit for the rear are too short for the trac-loc. Of course you can't order from Summit and pay freight so I ordered extras!

    I thought I struck it rich in belly bar bolts .....6 out of a 63 Fairlane. $2.83 @ Pick&Pull. 20200904_153531.jpg
I went home all giddy to bolt in my belly bar, threaded them bolts right in, tightened them up, and they just skipped in there??? The 1/2" bolts wont thread in......soooo, I went to Ace and got two metric bolts that were a touch smaller than 1/2 and seemed to have the same thread count as the ones pictured above, and got 2 nuts. After a little grinding, I had this. 20200904_162241.jpg
These actually threaded in nice, and torqued down good with a big ratchet. So, in a 1974, Metric bolts are required?????? At least in mine. I am glad I didnt spring 12$ + 12$ shipping for "Correct" bolts that skip? I dont know...but it is in, FINALLY!!!!!

Switched to front disc a few years back, finally got around to plumbing in the disc/drum proportioning valve in place of the distribution block. Curious to see if it makes a difference after bleeding.

    Mee too...

I have a '74 disc MC on Comet & still using drum/drum distribution block, seems to be OK. The factory disc/drum proportioning valve softens hit on rear. Supposedly lessens likelihood of rear lock up under sudden braking.

Test fit a couple roller rockers that I picked up for $75, pushrods look to be the correct length just need to pick up some pedestal shims to set the lash. Cleaned up a set of aluminum valve covers I picked up for free, they look better than the stamped steel ones & clear the new rockers. (y)

    What heads are those?

And you may need to use valve guides with those rollers.
