cant do it they are both unibody construction. you need a full frame car to do body swaps.

You would be better off just doing a 4 link coil susspension on the Maverick chassis. There are also upgrades that you can get for the front suspension and braking too. :)

It's been done with a 65 Mustang, so, it's possible. It would take a hell of an effort though.

I say go for it. Probably the most over looked and easiest mod to do. Post some pictures during the whole process....I would love to see this get done.

OK I got ya now. Your talking more like a sheet metal facelift. I misunderstood. I was thinking of an entire body swap like a Mav shell onto a full frame chassis interior and all. You guys are talking about re-skinning a Fox body. Cool idea but its not a Mav anymore. You'll end up with a mutt. Kind of Mav look with a different roof line and interior. Might be cool but the interior would have to be completely modified or else its just a Mustang inside. I like the idea if you could manage to pull it off by the car not being recognizable as a Mustang until you look at the chassis. Thats just me though. Someone else might like the Mustang interior.
My Mav interior is my favorite part of the car. I love the contour and lines of the dash. Its a Maverick look.(Comet also)
That dash look would have to carry over to the new chassis. A retro type look without losing the original character.

Its OK but it looks like old sheet metal graphed on to a late model Stang. I would like to see the roof line around the doors changed so its not so easily recognized. Talk about a project.!!!!Wow.

Sorry to be a necroposter guys, but have same throughs now. Got 87 rolling chasis from Ford Ltd police car with 351w and aod transmission. First idea was to swap engine and tranny, but now thinking about to just put maverick body on it. It will be long long project anyway…

Incorrect, you just need knowledge & skills. Although I don’t think a 95 Mustang would be a good fit, I’m thinking a Fox Body would be a closer match.

Should be obvious, you'll have to shorten & narrow LTD chassis or widen & lengthen Maverick body.

Any way next week will try to put emptied body to chassis and will see how it goes. I think leight is no problem and for widening always can roll up fenders
