Hi fellow s will a power steering centre link from a 75 maverick fit on a 74 maverick with power steering, my 74 is worn an they only sell them for manual steering, I found a new original in box on ebay it's a power steering centre link off 75 are they the same.
Other parts like tie rod ends and idler arm are different, the center link will fit - but you need to get the right idler.
There are three different center links '70-'72, '73-'74 & '75-'77, each group use a different idler arm configuration. I believe '73-'74 idler arm bushings are pressed into link, '75-'77 has a pin on link that fits into idler, same arm is used on Granada.
Thats good to know thanks for fast response I was getting worried that could not get part for car an lucked out by finding a new original parts still in factory wraps thanks I ket you know how it goes or doesn't lol I brought one for car company said it was right now stuck with brand new manual steering link if anyone needs one
Tom is right - I corrected my post. The center link will fit fine but you need to make sure to get the correct idler arm that matches your center links year.
There's not much to go wrong with P/S center links. If you are having P/S problems the valve and cylinder are seperate parts.
