It's not bad, had standard rust the usual spots... Yep, bent steel at work, used some very good measurements Gotten on a shock tower thread, then marked and plasma cut out. We're putting in a floor shift out of a pinto, used bucket seats already, you should post a pick of your traction bars, I've made couple sets over the year's..not sure bout the roller..

Thank you sir, I've looked and hunted about every Ford site and I read on one of the truck forums someone had said that they started putting roller 302s in everything in 92. I sure don't know that to be a fact. Haven't had anything but GM products since I got rid of the 71 F100 that I built in my early 20s. Man I still miss that truck, that thang out ran just about everything around here lol. 390, flat top forged pistons, shaved heads, healthy cam, intake with a 750 dbl pumper, accel dual point well you get the picture wish I had it back.
Thank you 89, for your response. I'll pull it and the transmission when it gets warmer and start freshin her up for the Maverick.

You're more than welcome Nolan. My 89 Mustang LX had a roller motor in it so I'm more than certain that's what you have in there. Go with an E303 cam bro.....you can't go wrong with that on the street for a normally aspirated 5.0.

Yes sir made the export brace, monty Carlo bar, guess that's what it's called and a cross brace for the bottom. As you can see out of stuff laying around the shop lol, not too pretty but it surely beats nothing.Well after looking at the pictures you really can't tell much about the traction bars. They're just cheap universal bars from Jegs, hopefully I'll be able to remove them when I get done with the leaf springs.
I've got to do something about the bumpsteer it's bad! I lowered the left side of the power steering cylinder not thinking to clear the headers. When you go over a rise moving at a good clip and the suspension unloads then resettles it'll make your butt pucker. I've been reading up on bumpsteer and learning as much as I can. Sure would like to just get rid of the power steering all together.

No, it looks fine ! I'm always going through my steel pile, and if I can make it and save some $ or make a super hard to find piece. Heck ya... have always really liked the tourqe thrust rims ! We went with the keystone's cause fell in our lap for 20 $ a rim... getting interior black was our latest accomplishment. Motor, front end now.... always something..lol

Aw hell yeah! Looks good, doing some work to her. She's going to be a nice ride when you're done. The mail lady just delivered the heater core I ordered from rockauto looks to be well built. Here's a pic of the part # for someone none a/c. That first number is a 9. 94585 IMG_20220130_113226.jpg

Easy way to know a 5.0 roller cam motor is to measure a push rod, should be 6 1/4 inches. It's shorter than a flat tappet push rod 'cause the roller lifers are taller.
