I was so excited to get my Maverick rack n pinion that I drove over and picked it up from their shop.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Spent 45 minutes trying to get my new turn signals to work. Old ones had some rust so I replaced them with a nice pair. One side blinks, but no running lights. Other side running lights but no blinking. Check the bulb…they are good. Clean the ground and reinstall… no change. Take off the housing, clean the connectors and take a small wire brush and clean the bulb housings. Add an extra ground cable to the housing and put it all back together. Now they work (y)

My son talked me into a trip to the dragstrip, and because of a recent episode of Uncle Tonys Garage, I checked my leaf spring clamps first. On the pass side they were loose and sliding out of place. After that got addressed, I could throttle it and let off without the back end twitching like it did. Even tire pressure does wonders too for these old clunkers. Dragstrip was fun!

I think just computer jibberish. Portland probably has too much rain for any outdoor electronics to function properly? Should have read about 80 mph. 1/8 mph was reading properly on the passes in the right lane.

Moved it about three feet forward so I could stage some junk for the swap meet by the garage door.

Replaced my totally broken driver's side armrest today with one I bought from William623. Now that I've actually done something to the car, I can sort of officially say to people, "I'm restoring a Maverick."
