    Thanks for all your advice. I now have seat covers installed. I have put in a new coil, spark plugs, oil change, got a Chilton Book, and now will be buffing the paint to get a good shine back so I can give it a through wax job. Have ordered a car cover. I am so pleased with the car. Absolutely no rust thanks to a ton of rust proofing done on a regaalr basis. My Dad had a 74 like this one. He and it are long gone, but I speak to him every time I take the car for a spin and invite him to join me for the ride. LOL

    More updates for the green machine. Installed anew coil and plugs. Dd an oil change and bought a car cover! Hope to get a carb rebuild while the car sleeps under her cover this winter!

    The green machine...great name! It's what I called my first car, a 1970 Galaxie 500 4dr.
