Hey everyone i am getting into drag racing and am planing on picking up a used wheel setup for the old maverick.

Weld racing draglites 15x6, 205/65r15 front runners and 15x8 4.5 BS rear 28x11.5-15 Hoosier quick time pro.

how would this combo fit on a stock maverick. Would i meed to roll fenders or anything?

I'd say it's a strong possibility as to having to roll the fender a little on the back. But, it will be really close.

what tires would you recommend that would fit with out rolling the fenders? The tires that sre on the wheels now are 3/4 gone so would need to be replaced anyways.

my main question is if those wheels would be a good platform to start with.

I run 28x11.50 et streets on my car. Fender lip rolled had to use a jack and block of wood to slightly bulge quarter. Also had to make an offset pin to move leaf springs in 1/4" ,fit is extremely tight still rubs a tad when car gets out of shape but not a problem.

Yes outer lip with a wooden bat. Rims have 4.25" back spacing and I lowered the car 1.5" with blocks, very minimum rubbing issues.
