Pulled the winter car cover off today. Added some better LED headlights before the slumber. These seem to blend well with the car compared to some of the designs I've seen out there. (Found on Amazon)

I like the Holley Retrobright LED headlights, but I'm not yet ready to spend $400 on two headlights...

I’m at a point in time, don’t do enough night driving to consider much in way of headlight upgrades. I did upgrade few years ago to some Sylvania bulbs added relays in light circuits, works for me — somewhere around $100 bucks.

Relays will make a major improvement to light light output, no not like LED.

Regardless of price, I'm yet to see any of those I want on my cars including Holley.

I've installed relays on the Comet & Cobra, the Fairlane is gettin' by with fresh Halogens.

Pict wife shot last summer of Cobra lights(Yep out of focus, I was in middle of wringing it out)

I got some relays for mine back in 2018. Been too lazy to install them...

Com'on if you drive at night, a worthwhile upgrade.

I made this comparison shot, only the right outer is operating from relay. It's actually more noticable than camera shows.

The Comet has one Sylvania SilverStar & other std halogen, even with relays there's a noticable difference.

I definitely intend to get around to it. I drive it at night literally once a year.
Ironically, I told a friend about headlight relays (he never knew about it before) and even told him how to wire them. He got right on it and put them on his '41 Ford, and yet I still haven't done mine...

I put a set of relays in last year. I also put a little 4 slot inline fuse.[IMG]

Did this update May 2012, probably little overkill as far as wiring goes but have served me well w/o any problems!

Funny, this picture just happened to pop up from the gallery. That red '41 Ford is the one my friend put headlight relays in after I suggested it. Made a huge difference...

I have H4 housings in my car but installed LED bulbs instead of halogens. Really nice difference and only draws about 1/3rd the current of a halogen bulb so no relays needed. They're all over evilBay for $20-$30.
Here's what the bulbs look like and have the old standard 3-prong plug:
