With AOD I would not run less than 3.70/3.80

3.73 x .68 OD = 2.53 final ratio. Even 4.10 are only 2.78 or what's in it now. If you retain the lockup converter feature(most don't) but I reccomend, would knock another 150-200 highway RPM off your current gear setup.

I ran 3.73/AOD with Stage-1 Trick Flow cam, great highway cruiser. Same for my '93 Lightning that had 4.10 & E4OD.

That sounds great, I'll have to call them up sometime.

I dont want to keep asking questions, but do you remember how much that costs you in total?

26.4"is too tall for the front of a Maverick, but fine for the rear (although 225 is pretty skinny)...

No problem. I looked through both my computer files and my paper file folder and, of course, that's one of the few receipts I am missing. But I bought those parts in 2017 so the prices would most likely be higher now. Sorry.

bmcdaniel has one on his '70 Maverick among others. Perform a site search for CPP suspension and get a lot of information.

Barry has detailed thread on his CPP installation— required some modifications.

I wonder if the 67-70 mustang CPP kit would fit better in ours cars than the early 60s falcon kit

Are you happy with the open tracker strut rods? Did they induce any further vibration into the car?

Actually, I just drove it again today and yes, I'm very happy with the Open Tracker strut rods and how they perform while driving. I also think I incorrectly stated that they had spherical rod ends. Open tracker uses "a high quality, high strength Teflon & Kevlar impregnated rod end mounted in a custom designed billet steel bracket."

How do they compare to stock in terms of ride & performance?...

I would compare it to a musclecar ride, firm but not overly stiff and I can adjust the shocks with multiple settings. I had already cut my stock springs for altitude adjustment after I removed the non-functioning A/C and power steering. That contributed to a mild stiffening of the ride. The Open Tracker suspension added new bushings, much improved strut rods and the rocker lower spring mount which makes the suspension work easier.

I'm gonna install my new Open Tracker roller spring perches in the next 2 or 3 months.
I was just wondering if I could also benefit from their strut rods...

Same here. Have there spring perches and lower control arms. Should have bought the entire kit as Shorty did.
