    Checked tire clearance for a 30x9 drag radial on my 71. Barely makes it on the rear of the opening. 5072AFD3-DB38-4B01-B84E-B31AA74FEB0D.jpeg

    The floor has 2 indentation’s dots the one in the center is to center the shifter and do the cut .
    the other one in front is when you center the bracket the front center screw lines up with that dot good luck

    My newest project, hopefully going to pick it up Saturday. It’s crusty… but still a stallion. D40F163D-42E3-4389-BAF8-C2119207C298.jpeg

    Finally tossed the motor back in that's been sitting on the stand since June 2020. Wiring has slightly commenced and just buying miscellaneous parts here and there. I remember a post about a mechanical fan I shouldn't buy. Which was it again? I thought it was a Flex-a-Lite.

    Fact that 50 years later, suppliers like Summit, Jegs etc still sell them, makes me believe they aren't so bad. You'll have to decide for your self. Only comment I'll make, their plastic fans won't really flex and eat a bunch of HP. If you can access Motor Trend's Engine Masters, check out a test they made on different fans.

    Flex fans earned a bad name due to blades separating, injuring or killing people. Ford used them in the '70s and did issue a recall.

    On another board, was commented one of the used parts houses received a huge batch of these fans from Ford, to be recycled as scrap metal. Reportedly they put them on parts shelf.

    A Guy came by the house today, I have known him for over 35 years. as he was leaving he asked to see my Maverick, said he had never seen it.
    I can't believe anyone that has known me for more than 5 minutes hasn't seen the car...:huh:

    he knew me back in my Harley show bike days, I was into Harleys for 29 years. after my last wreck (#13) I gave them up. got a broken arm and leg. Kid that pulled out in front of me said "he didn't see me coming"...:yikes:
    I was riding a chromed out Harley that you could see/hear coming for 6 blocks...:slap:
    the wild thing was my Wife was behind me in her truck and saw me T-bone his car.
    Huuummmm that may be why it was my last wreck...:scratchchin:
    now I've been into Mav/Comets for past 21 years...:drive::chirp:

    ANY flex fax is NOT recommended !! Had a friend ( had) that was winging the throttle standing by the fender and one
    of the aluminum blades let go and severed his juglar vein immediately .. His wife watched him bleed out helplessly as she stood by. GET another type of fan for safety .
